Smear straight from package, then use small piece of paper towel to smear it well all over.
Mix ingredients in 2 different batches in small food processor.
Use 1 cup measuring cup for all big measurements and 1/4 cup for smaller ones.
Use maple syrup instead of honey if child is under 1 year old.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups oats, old-fashioned
1/4 cup craisins
1/4 cup shredded coconut
2 TBSP butter
2 TBSP water
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
Step-By-Step Directions
Preheat oven 350 degrees
Butter pan with butter straight from package, then use a small piece of paper towel to get a really nice even coat at bottom of pan
Get all ingredients out and measured (oats, craisins, shredded coconut, honey, cinnamon, butter, water)
Get small food processor, large soup bowl, 1 cup measuring cup, normal big spoon, 1/4 tsp measuring spoon
Put coconut and craisins in first and chop/mix together
Dump mixture into big soup bowl
Put only 1 cup oats, butter, water, and cinnamon and chop/mix together
Dump this mixture into same big soup and lightly mix and mash out any butter that wasn’t blended right
Add remaining 1/2 cup of oats (whole oats, not chopped) and honey into the same big soup bowl
Mix well
Pour mixture into buttered pan
Wash hands and use moist fingertips to spread out the mixture evenly and PACK it down so it stays together once cooked. Really want to emphasize the importance of packing it down well
Put in oven and bake for 25 minutes
Once done, take out of oven and let cool for 15 minutes, then cut into squares while still warm
